CONVENTION INFORMATION
DESK
The convention
information/help desk and the treasurer’s desk will be in the Pre-Function Area
outside Exhibition Hall CDE.
YOUR BOOKLET ADMITS YOU
TO THIS CONVENTION
Please note that all
delegates eligible to attend Palliser Convention will be required to bring their
booklet to convention. This booklet is required for admission to all sessions at
Palliser Convention. Please be prepared to present it if you are asked.
PRE-REGISTRATION
You must pre-register
for some sessions. PRE-REGISTRATION will be available on February 11th, by
submitting a form from the convention web site at www.palliserconvention.org
using the Pre-registration link in the Sessions section of the web site. On
February 11th, please click on the Pre-register navigation button in the
Sessions section, choose your session and click on it. A form will come up for
you to fill in and submit. You will be notified by email which you should print
out and present at the session. The hyper link will be removed and the session
marked full when it is filled up. Please note that the hyper links to the
registration forms will not be active until February 11th. The following session
numbers will require pre-registration:
C03, C09, D04, D17, D25,
D27, E04, F26, G20, H08, I05
EVALUATION FORMAT
Evaluation forms are
available for each session and the Convention as a Whole. This year we will be
requiring online evaluation using Survey Monkey. The web link to the evaluation
forms will be posted on the announcements board on the home page at
www.palliserconvention.org and will remain active for one week after convention
at which time the web link will be closed.
ONLINE HANDOUTS
Online handouts, if they
were provided by the speaker will be available for download from our web site
for at least a month after convention.
SESSION FORMAT CHANGE
We have changed the
format of how and when sessions are presented this year. Thursday morning will
see three featured speakers, two of which you will select. We have extended the
lunch hour sessions to include Thursday and Friday as well. This allows you to
choose a lunch time that better suites your schedule.
SPEAKER BOOKS AND
MATERIALS
Speaker books and
materials will be available at the convention through an onsite Bookstore.
SESSION CAPACITY
Please note that if all
the chairs in a session are full, the session is full to capacity. Please
cooperate with this regulation which the Convention Board is expected to adhere
to. Chairs may not be moved from one room to another.
ATTENDANCE AT CONVENTION
The deadline to apply to
attend an alternate professional development activity is January 10th.

The convention web site
at www.palliserconvention.org has a list of all board members with email
addresses in the event that you need more information.
REGISTERING FOR AN ATRF
INTERVIEW AT CONVENTION
To book a personal
pension interview go to www.palliserconvention.org and click on the link
provided. Location of interviews is Show Offices #1 and #2 on the third floor of
the North building. The elevator is in the Pre-Function area as you are leaving
to go through the glass doors into the hallway to the Hyatt.
HONORARY PRESIDENT
Jere Geiger has been
chosen as the honorary president for this year’s convention.
COFFEE SERVICES
There is a Starbucks
Coffee Shop on site. Coffee and snacks will also be available in the
Pre-Function areas.
BANK MACHINE
The second floor of the
Hyatt has a bank machine.
Please note that all
session information is taken directly from our database and will reflect any
errors made by the party who submitted the speaking proposal. Some information
is received too late to allow proof reading.

BANNER
Make sure someone from your local brings your local banner
for display at the convention.
N.B.
This is a closed convention for delegates only. Please do
not bring your children or spouse to the convention sessions. The general
public, which includes parents, is also not allowed to attend.
You are also reminded that the
two days of convention are teaching days and therefore children should not
attend.
