Delegate Information

CONVENTION INFORMATION DESK
The convention information/help desk and the treasurer’s desk will be in the Pre-Function Area outside Exhibition Hall CDE.

ADMISSION

You are required to have your booklet with you to be admitted into a session.

PRE-REGISTRATION
You must pre-register for some sessions. PRE-REGISTRATION will be available on February 6, 2010 by submitting a form from the convention website at www.palliserconvention.org . On February 6th, please click on the Pre-register navigation button under SESSIONS, and choose your session and click on it. A form will come up for you to fill in and submit. You will be notified by email. The hyperlink will be removed and the session marked full when it is filled up.

EVALUATION FORMAT
Evaluation forms are available for each session and are located on the coloured pages in the middle of your booklet. Please fill in the name and number of the session, the speaker name and your rating and hand the form in at the end of the session. Bins are provided at the exit door of each session. The convention as a whole evaluation form is also on a coloured page in this booklet. Be sure to fill it in as this will be your entry to a draw to win a weekend for two complements of the Hyatt.

ONLINE HANDOUTS
Online handouts will be available for download from our website for at least a month after convention.

 

SPEAKER BOOKS AND MATERIALS
An onsite bookstore will carry many of these books and materials. 

SESSION CAPACITY
Please note that if all the chairs in a session are full, the session is full to capacity. Please cooperate with this regulation which the Convention Board is expected to adhere to. Chairs may not be moved from one room to another.

ATTENDANCE AT CONVENTION
The deadline to apply to attend an alternate professional development activity is January 10, 2010. Information is on the website under the attendance link.

IF YOU NEED MORE INFORMATION
The convention website has a list of all board members with email addresses in the event that you need more information.

SPEAKER LUNCHEON
The speaker luncheon will be in the TBA room.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR A PERSONAL PENSION INTERVIEW
To book a personal pension interview please go to the home page of the website and click on the link provided.  This link is usually available near the beginning of December.
 

BANNER

Make sure someone from your local brings your local banner for display at the convention. 

This is a closed convention for delegates only.  Please do not bring your children or spouse to the convention sessions.  The general public, which includes parents, is also not allowed to attend.

You are also reminded that the two days of convention are teaching days and therefore children should not attend.
